Kufstein Calling

kufstein calling
“Sometimes, music gives me a boner”
This little gem was uttered by a drunk party-goer at our last set in Kufstein, where we had the express privilege of doing lights -and- djing. The night was wild, exuberant and out of control, what did you expect? If you’re wondering who that handsome devil made of polygons is, well that would be yours truly. I created a paper model of myself and gave it to various party-goers throughout the night to wear. It was quite the identity crisis, and pretty sexy to boot. Ego, my friends, I have it.

We’ve got the whole collection of photos from the evening if you want to check them out after the jump. As for the polygon head, he got pretty thrashed up at the party, so I don’t know if you guys will see him again. But who knows what the future holds? Until next time, peace out.

Freakwave Festival 2012

By | Uncategorized

We had an absolutely lovely time playing the Freakwave Festival last Friday.
We had a chance to meet some really cool people and had a pretty crazy weekend overall. The Freakwave Festival isn’t just for music, but a festival of sports, fashion, visuals and film. Seriously cool stuff. We watched the Slackline World Championship (and subsequently tried it drunkenly ourselves), saw some great short films at an outdoor screening and got up to all sorts of shenanigans. With talent like Ogris Debris, ETEPETETE, Funkberater Exklusiv! and more, I’d say the crowd got their fair share of vibes and visuals. We were in charge of the visual program on Friday and were accompanied by the boys from Schaukasten with their mapped, hanging squares. If I may reiterate, seriously cool stuff. Check out this mind-blowing rendition of Sea Lion Woman that Ogris Debris threw down at our stage.

For me personally, the highlight of the weekend though was the night we didn’t play, on Saturday. One of the most talented beatboxers I’ve had the pleasure to meet, Knackeboul, Switzerland’s premiere mouth-music-man, was backstage with us when we stumbled upon a piano. Soon enough, I was banging away and beatboxing while he was freestyling in the most hardcore Swiss dialect. Hit the jump for a bonus video of that jam.

Poolbar Festival Weekend with DJ Hell and more

DJ Hell

Alright kiddos, we have some news.
We were honored to be asked to play for a whole weekend at the Poolbar Festival in Feldkirch. We played with the legendary DJ Hell one night and with Photek and Atomique on the other. Needless to say, it was pretty badass. From what I hear at least. Unfortunately I was in America at the time, so Flip and Benni were on their own for the evening. Which was truly a shame, not only because we love each other and hate to be separated, and not only that they considered it to be the best evening we’ve ever played, but because we had some technical problems that could only be solved through my computer. So imagine my surprise when I woke up to a call at 8.30 in the morning asking for tech support across the globe.

One way or the other, we got some truly amazing pictures out of the evening. Our friend Matthias Rhomberg (whom you may remember, took pictures for us for Netsky) was the photographer of the evening and really pulled out all the stops on this one. Truly stunning stuff. Check out a few of the pictures here and stop by the Poolbar website for the rest.

Urban Art Forms Festival 2012

Wow! Just wow… What a weekend
If I might say so, the Urban Art Forms Festival was probably one of the best weekends of my life. For everybody who’s not from Austria or just doesn’t know the festival, the Urban Art Forms is a festival dedicated to electronic music and visuals. So we were right at home when arrived on Thursday to set up shop at the Red Bull Music Academy Stage and, to be honest, also a bit nervous, considering this was our first major festival debut. The weather was beautiful and we were ready to melt some faces. The space we were given was freaking tight, on a barge on the lake. Not only was the location great but we were stoked to be playing with the likes of Richie Hawtin, Peaches and Aeroplane.

We’ve got some great pictures of the whole weekend for you and a video with a full-write up is on the way. Hit the jump to see the full gallery along with a link to an awesome recap of the stage by Red Bull.

Netsky Is A Boss

Let it be known: Netsky is a boss
Last weekend we had the express pleasure of meeting and playing with Boris Daenen, aka Netsky at the Conrad Sohm. And might I say, that man is probably the most humble person I’ve ever met. What a nice guy. The party was off the hook, as to be expected with such a man behind the decks. Oh man, it was packed though. Going to the bathroom was such a pain in the ass.  Next time I’m bringing one of those suits for astronauts that you can pee in. Unfortunately all the footage we captured can’t be put to best use because of stipulations in Netsky’s contract. But we do have gifs of the rest of the evening! Ha! And just to make sure that you know we weren’t lying about the whole playing-with-Netksy thing, here’s a link to the official photographer’s site (cool guy) where he has all the pictures of the whole shebang.

So without further ado, I give you the party gifs of our collaboration with Netsky’s performance at the Conrad Sohm. Check them out after the jump!

Superbacon Party GIFs

Introducing the Next Big Thing: Party GIFs!
So while looking through the footage of the Superbacon video, we came upon some very entertaining situations when we looped the video. So we made a collection of gifs and decided to post them. Personally, my favorite is probably the butt dance (you’ll know which one I mean when you see it). Check ’em out, show ’em to your friends and then stop abbreviating the word them. See all the gifs after the jump.
